Rammed Earth

Fascinated by layers of nature’s aspirations and material organization, from earth to atmosphere for this vertical city, and cultural project, the designers invigorate the ground basement with a unique earth installation examining the potential of the sustainable Rammed Earth technique, an old technique for constructing foundations, floors, and walls using natural raw materials such as earth, chalk, lime, or gravel. With the layering, site context, technology and unexpected nature interwoven throughout. The conceptual starting point of the sectional stratas throughout the building by ESKYIU, start with the earth, wood, stone, then the “Field” above and the vertical lightness of glass to the immaterial and natural atmosphere & air above.
